aus IAPMA Newsletter April 2006:
Paper Road 2006
Eighty-eight entry forms and CDs were sent to jury for the Paper Road exhibition 2006 in Austria. The five jury members were a gallery director, the chief of a paper factory, a university teacher from the textile department, a student representative specialisating in paper art and myself, an organiser of a paper studio.
We all met at the end of February and agreed to accept 39 artworks. The jury was fascinated by some of the entries, like Bara Lehmann Schulz's Installation of outdated masterloops from former textile production or Hiltrud Schäfer's Installation dealing with the subject of cloning. Also, the work of Austrian artist Tanja Boukal considered theme, space and material in a very unique way. The work of artists from ten countries will be represented in this exhibition. Thank you to IAPMA, the paper museum and all artists for sending their contributions.
We are looking forward to seeing the artworks, celebrating a unique international exhibition and meeting you in Austria.
