What thrills me
There are several things:
- Science Fiction
When I was a child, I read some types of booklets, for example Ren Dhark. Later my brother turned my interest to the series 'Perry Rhodan', written in the german
town of Rastatt. More and more I began to read the series. Today I have got the whole series of my own, but some of it are not from the first edition.
I could not help making such stories by myself. I wrote - and am writing now - a comic-style science-fiction-story with the name: 'The adventurer
for the benefit of the universe'.
- Elektronics
When I was a boy I often played with electronic construction kits and therefore learned a lot about electronics. Today I still try to repair broken electronic instruments.
I am reading the electronic-magazine ELEKTOR, trying to brush up my knowledges.
- Astronomie
Because of the re-opening of the planetarium of Vienna I increased my interest about astronomics. I have been using 2 little refraction-telescopes
for searching interesting objects of the nightly sky. Especially my serving in the army was very helpful, because during a lot of nightly patrouls
gave me the chance to look to the beautiful stars, and no bright lights of the city could stop me.
- Esperanto
Many years ago my mother read a newspaper and there was a course of the language Esperanto. Reading it I learned, that ther is a international, neutral language, easy to learn.
20 years later by another newspaper I decided to definitly learn that language.
Esperanto - what is this? It's an international artificial auxilliary language, which was created more than 100 years ago by the polish okulist Ludwig Lazarus Zamenhof.
It doesn't want to push away the native languages, because this is unable. It wants to be a second language for every man and woman in the world, helping them to communicate in
a fair and neutral manner.
