Vibrations

Analysis and reduction of vibrations

Scope

Noise emissions are often a joint phenomena linked to vibrations. Work on construction sites (both structural and underground engineering) often causes ground movements which can be perceived unpleasantly in the vicinity. More important, however, are the vibrations caused by the normal operation of the rail services. The latter will gain even higher importance due to the expansion and upgrading of the European rail network. Measures to reduce vibrations thus become indispensable.

Our experience:

Vibrations along the rail track section Wieselburg-Gersten (Austria)
Vibrations at the railway station Riedau (Austria)
Vibration expertise for the buildings of the company Switch & Data

Our services:

Vibrations measurements according to: ÖNORM S9010 and S9012
Conservation of evidence for construction work causing substantial vibrations
Planning of measures to protect against vibrations
Research in the area of radiation of secondary airborne noise
