Patmos is famous for the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and the cave of the Apocalypse, where the Book of Revelations was written.

You can take tours to these sites, or go exploring on your own, including walking around the mystic, medieval town of Hora.

With its impressive Patrician houses Hora recalls the Monastery's and entire island's wealth acquired through flourishing shipping trade between the Oriental and the Western world.
