Curriculum Vitae

Before becoming a student in 1991 I had to spend some time (13 years...) at school. To be exact, I attended elementary school ("Volkschule") from 1978 to 1982, then I spent 4 years (1982 to 1986) at AHS (secondary school), which is a kind of high school ("Gymnasium"). Finally I was tought electrical engineering at a HTL in Graz for five years.

I'm a master student of Telematics at the Graz University of Technology since 1991. The studies of Telematics, which are in this form unique to Graz, are a combination of computer science and electrical engineering. I'm specialized in the fields of biomedical engineering and medical informatics. I have finished my studies on 5th of July 2001.

Currently I am working for Hyperwave R&D in Graz as Support Specialist, have a look at http://www.hyperwave.com/

This is - beside other things - because of a time consuming hobby I have: travelling! The last time I have been to South America for 3 months and is has been quite a journey!!

Hobbies & Interests

• Dancing with my girlfriend Birgit is one of my favourit passtimes. Indeed dancing is one of the few ways for me to forget all around me and to relax, given that the music is right! :)

 
• Diving, most of the time in the Mediteran Sea. If only I had more time and a lot more money! Well... Right now I lack both things! Maybe because of another thing I have got fond of relatively late:

 

 

• Travelling! My girlfriend and I have been to a very enriching journey to South America, namely to Argentina and Chile. If you want to have a look, check out my Photo Gallery!

 

 
 
 

• Eating Pizza :-9! with some friends - what else can there be?
• Jogging - Well I should do more of it than I did the last months... Somehow I feel the time coming when I will reshape myself a little bit! :-) I'm getting old after all! *g*

 
• Riding my bicycle , but mainly for transport purposes... ;-)

 
• Skiing (Well, I'm Austrian, ain't I) 

• Computer Gambling, mostly with my good old friend "Super-Toni". Genres beeing played are wide spread, ranging from RTS (real time strategy) (for example Starcraft - "old" but still one of the best - or newer ones like The Settlers III or C&C3), over racing games like Need for Speed onto less "bloodless" and less brain-based games like Half-Life, Unreal Tournament and so on...

 
• Listening to , most of it blues, rock and classic 

 
• Newsgroups of different kinds, which I read and in which I write more seldom these days. Here is a small list of them

 
• Word Wide Web: Surfing around the  makes the local phone company rich... :-) Well, not as much as the probably would like to see...

Writing computer programs in Pascal (Delphi), Visual Basic (mostly for work), C++ and  (well, I'm still learning the last one...)
