Graz in atumn 1994		 Graz is the city where I was born and where I live. It is the second biggest town in Austria after Vienna and the capital of Styria, which is one of the nine provinces of Austria. 

Styria is situated in the south of Austria with borders to Hungary and Slovenia and to the provinces of Carinthia, Salzburg, Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Burgenland. 

I made these pictures on a sunny day in the autumn of 1994, most of them in the neighbourhood of my apartment.

Dresden in October 1994		 I was in Dresden with two friends, Hans and Martin, in October 1994 on the occasion of the fifth Eurochip Workshop on VLSI Design Training. 

We enjoyed our 3 day stay there, less because of the most interesting lectures but because of the beautiful weather and the even more beautiful city of Dresden.

London in April 1996		 These pictures are from a visit of London in April 1996. I was there with my girlfriend and some friends from Graz and Vienna. The weather (what else) was wonderful except for the cold wind, but it was warmer than in Austria at the same time (where it was snowing). 

It was my first visit of London and my impressions were mixed. On the one hand the architecture and the sights were impressive as the enormous city itself. But on the other hand I didn't have the time to look behind those things and so I missed the human part of it. The churches and towers got a little cold and boring after a while even if their history was most impressive. 

On the surface you mainly see the department stores and the well-dressed inhabitants of London as well as the clichés which everybody knows from TV and the newspapers. (Which is also true of my pictures). 

But of course this city is a little bit too large to be explored within 6 days...
