Yugetsu Walzer
(Yugetsu Waltz)
Opus 8
The
translation of the title means: full moon waltz. It is a homage
to the Japan manager of the
Mrs. Toshiko Hayashibara. The waltz begins with Japanese sound
elements in 6/8 beat, but changes with the first waltz to a
3/4 beat. Now, the themes are slowly changing and become more
Viennese from one bar to the next. This waltz perfectly proves
that the power of music is able to bring together two cultures
that seem to be so different.
